ANTI-TOKENISM PROJECT
More than a statement. A reminder.
What started as a shirt created for Brandon Gordon’s final Doctor of Musical Arts recital at Rutgers University quickly became something bigger than we expected. Titled “Anti-Tokenism,” the recital centered the importance of representation, visibility, and creating space beyond symbolic inclusion.
Everywhere we went, people asked about the shirt. The message resonated because too many people understand what it feels like to be reduced to a symbol instead of being fully seen.
Anti-Tokenism Project was created for those who refuse to be minimized, conveniently included, or treated like representation without recognition.
This is not fast fashion.
This is intentional wear.
Clean designs. Clear message. Real conversation.
